What is chocolate considered
Cocoa- from which chocolate is derived- is very bitter unless a sweetener is added. Certain forms of sweetened chocolate which are formed into bars for use in cooking could be considered a type of candy, although not labeled or sold as such. Chocolate confectionery is considered candy.
